help, Grinding Noise when slowing down, using brakes
I have a 09 tc with 9,6XX miles on the car. I just started to notice when i slow down with my brakes I here a loud grinding noise. I have noticed when I put my car in neutral to stop I cannot here the noise. But if im downshifting and using my breaks I can here the noise.I do have a turbo kit on the car so Im not sure if I should take it off and bring it to the dealership. Or if this issue is normal on our cars. The car was running fine, I have had my kit on the car for about 2,000 miles. I would appriciate the help.
its really loud lol , the weird thing is the car was driving normal. I was working on the car and only thing I did was replace my wastegate with a new one. When i started her up i noticed when i brake its a loud grinding noise. Seems to be comming from the drivers side. Car boosts fine and runs strong. Hey ace im at work at the moment. I will check that when I get off. Thanks for the support and help.
jack up the car, with the wheels of the ground.. try to grab opposite sides of the wheels and try to wiggle it back and forth.. if there is a play its likely a wheel bearing.. when wheel bearing goes bad the calipers is likely to rub against the rotors and gives a really loud grinding noise.. and oh its only when you brake right not on hard deceleration or engine braking?
is it like an on and off vibration/deep buzzing sound that you cant hear when the windows are rolled down and that disappears when you coast the car to neutral? you have an upgraded clutch?
Hey guys , I just changed my oil today , I was running Mobile 1 5w20 and I used 5w30 now and the noise when away. Also I reinstalled my dezod turbo back exhaust. I was runing from the s-pipe(couldnt take the noise any more) But the car is running perfect. Thanks for the support guys.
