Default Help Please... Bogging and Rough Idle

I just hoooked up my underglow kit and it works fine so do my subs but when I pulled out of my driveway I accelerated and the car bogged out at around 2500 - 3500 rpms. If I do a slow steady acceleration it goes up to 4000, but I can't do any quick accelerating.

WTF Anyone know what I can do or what's wrong?

Didnt' disconnect the battery
got a CEL

What I've heard from my peoples on the phone....

"Try disconnecting your battery for 10 min then hook it back up."
DONE Problem persists.

Try disconnecting your battery then the Mass Air Flow Sensor, leave it off for 10 min then hoook up the MAF Sensor and then the battery and let it run for 10 min.
DONE Problem persists.

1) What are your engine mods, if any.

2) What did you use for your power supply and grounding?

MAF sensors dont just die without reason... only VW MAFs do that.

engine mods = intake
power supply = battery
grounding = strut bar

I'd check to see what CEL you're throwing before buying parts for the car. Does the Scion have a 'limp mode' like most current vehicles?

The only limp mode I know of is a result of a bad MAF sensor.

Since he has an intake, this could be the case... but I'm guessing he's had the intake for a while with no problems.

I think we need a little more information before we can diagnose... see if you can get the CEL checked out by autozone for free... send us back the code, and we'll throw that into the equation.

What is the code? Head to a local Auto Zone and find out and report back. This is shooting in the dark right now.

It was the MAF sensor I don't know why, it just was. Maybe cuz I didn't disconnect the battery, It may have been fried. it's all good though I got that shyt replaced within 11 hours
