help, i will be uninstalling the S/C soon by ptuning soon, i need number on the ecu.
How do i remove the ecu?
any tip would be helpful. thank you

 

what number, part number. auto or manual trans ?

 

ptuning want me to fax the number printed on the ECU to them.

 

are the going to replace and install a new or used ecm. are the chargeing you extra. auto or manual transmission?

 

if you remove your glove box you should be able to see label. all youll need to remove ecm are 10mm socket and extension with ratchet.

 

they will order a new ecu for me. for 2006 manual transmission,

they are going to order all new parts from toyota dealer . i forgot to ask my dealership to give me back my old stock parts when they install the s/c. ( I will never make that mistake again)
(i wonder how much i can part out the sc?)

the only parts youll need are air intake hose and air filter case. or just buy a used cold air intake for $50 and just remove s/c . and plug your oil pan drain hole. they sel those for $5 bucks. and install your oem belt . dam ill even give you mine just pay for shipping.
