I own a 2007 TC and I currently have the HKS axleback and its so damn quite on idle. I was wondering if theres an exhaust out there or something/someway I can make it somewhat throaty or at least here it on idle like the subies. Or is that impossible? Thanks guys.

lol gingles, unbolt the exhaust.... I used to have a 3000gt with a 3sx 2.5 inch racepipe with the borla catback exhaust and that sounded amazing at idle and at high rpms. Of course that was a V6 and its going to offer a different tone. But I wanted something that could make me feel like I have that car again, lol. I should have never traded my baby in for a damn TC. Im tired of girls telling me my cars cute, time to get a 3000gt again or a Vette.

or install a cut out.. open it up when idling.. and oh you can get cams and get crazy idle lol..

 

get a spipe and a midpipe and turn it into a catback and it will be loud at idle id add a nice resonator too, that way it isnt toooo loud.

 

yeh i have a header with an s pipe and my stock mid pipe with the hks axkle back and it has a nice deep sound at idle

 

i dont know if its just me but i really want a very quiet exhaust at idle, but when i start giving some throttle thats where i want it to rumble

So give me an estimate on what it would cost for a decent header/spipe combo, if thats would it would take for me to achieve a deep sounding idle. Thanks guys

 

Intake, header, mid pipe, and a cat back will give a deep tone on idle. The Fujita I put on last night really changed the tone of my setup.

 

my set up is intake header s pipe and axle back all brand new ran me like over 1g

 

you can get a after market header, but im running the stock one with the spipe-midpipe and Axel back and it has a deep idle

 

There are a number of different combos that will result in fairly similar exhaust tones..

I'm running an Injen CAI, Megan Racing header, and Injen SES axle back exhaust...and I have a nice deep tone from idle to high rpm's.
cost wise... you can find good deals... I would guess you could get a set up like mine for 600ish..for all 3 parts... could be a little more...or a little less..just depends on the deals you can find for the legit parts....not some fly-by-night imitators. Gives decent performance gains for being n/a...and not to bad cost wise.

 

dont get a header

you can get an exhaust cut out, i would just get an s pipe and mid pipe to add to your current setup

 

headers, 3" s-pipe and 3" exhaust dump about half way back. That will do it.

 

you'll also want everyone to cut their ears off whenever your car is on lol

 

Ive got a Greddy EVO2 axle back megan mid pipe with another resonator welded in and a 4-1 header and it is very deep at idle.
