I used some simple green, then a little bit of turtle wax ice car wash in a bucket. I sprayed the simple green on most of the stuff then sprayed it off the house then wiped everything down with the car wash.

 

so just spray solution or whatever and you can use a hose to rinse it off?? im assuming cover up the most important pieces right

 

i covered up the alternator and i didnt spray the hose near the battery or spray it on top of the engine where the coil packs are, for that i just wiped them down. Pretty much they only part i hit with the hose was the radiator and front of the engine, everything i else i just wiped down really well. some people might say it is okay for other parts but i dont want to worry about damaging thing.

i would say it looks pretty good for 2 1/2 years old

 

it definitely does look good. ive seen showroom car engine bays more dirty ;)
