actually it's a POS and we could definitely benefit from a nice long tube'd manifold

it is a pos from what i have seen and zpi told me they were making one a long time ago im still waiting for it before i install the driect port kit (come on zpi i needed this by last weekend i didnt get to race at boti ) i think if they dont have one out by the end of the year ill just "try" and make my own it cant be to hard lol i just need some flanges for the t/b and for the head

some thing like this pos would be awsome if we can fit one back there on the tc lol i think the pipes would have to bend down but you get the idea some thing that would alow me to drill some holes in it for the nitrous and also port match it but go back to stock if i ever have to

i haven't looked too much at the intake manifold's room but i know its NOT going to look like that straight off design. you're going to have to bend the hell out of those runners

i dont realy want short runners but i want about 1.5 inches of straight pipe to put the nozels for the nitrous after that it can curv all it wants to the t/b but i want a straight shot in the the head i dont want the nitrous to have to flow through a maze lol you know what i meen right ???

oh comprendo

it actually makes sense with a FI setup

you get more torque from longer runners though (which would be best for natural aspiration)

At this point anything is better than the stock intake manifold. The ZPI nitrous car might still be running today if the factory manifold hadn't given out.

we are in the process of making a one-off sheetmetal intake manifold right now for our test mule shop car - we want to keep it relatively small so it can be used on both NA and Turbo applications and also offer a choice to run a different throttle body that is still drive by wire as to not run into any hassles that way - once we get our first prototype done we will be dyno testing it to see what we can pick up and make changes from there to get into a production unit

i know of 2 other companies that are actively kicking around the idea of an aftermarket intake manifold - just a matter of time till there are 4-5 on the market i am sure
