Default How to fix/prevent oil line leaks?

I seem to be getting various oil leakage around the oil pressure sender and s/c oil feed lines. What is a good way to fix these?

I am thinking of putting some RTV silicone on the threads before reattaching the lines.

Also is it safe to use simple green to clean down an engine bay? I know not to spray directly on electrical related plugs / wires.

u shouldnt have any leaks from the sender at all as well as the feed lines. u should be able to just tighten them enough so that it seals. i would think u have something else goin on ie. bad line, loose fitting or something like that. i wouldnt use any kind of sealant on ur oil feed. any little particle that gets in there will cause a major catastrophe. double check ur lines and make sure that its the line itself thats leaking.

as for simple green, u can use it, but i would use brake clean instead since u dont have to use water on ur bay or electrical connectors.
