You guys do make a good point I'm considering not getting it, idk though I'm putting in some serious research on it, I'm also planning on doing it for a chemistry presentation I have to do for school, but I'm gonna put it some good research from what I have been reading most n/a cars have been gaining 10-15 whp so I'll see how it goes
just save your money and get something a little more worthwhile. The NA cars you see getting 10-15 HP are most likely cars with alot higher base HP and TQ, which the tC just doesnt have. i can't stress enough how big tuning plays in this whole equation. Since you dont have anything to tune with i think it would be a big waste of time and money.
i know this is a noob question so please dont flame. what is the stock midpipe sizing?? i was thinking of getting custom 2.5 piping but i see people asking about 2.5. wont the car lose a lot of backpressure if the piping is too big (2.5)??
stock is 2.25. i put a 2.5 high flow cat and theres straight pipes behind that more or less and allthogh a decrease in back pressure the car is faster up top.
no dyno numbers or anything but i know the same motor with a 3inch exhaust on a stock n/a motor putting out more power. if ur runnng a cat and a muffler youll be fine

i mean i love my setup. my friend has a stage 3 racing clutch with header back straight through 2.5" exhaust no cats or resonators with tsudo axel back (RASPY) with TRD intake and he is turning 17s. and i have heavy 18s with my megan header, stock s pipe, and factory midpipe with added resonator and tanabe axel back, a-power pulley, and fujita intake and my driver side window was down with a passenger and i have factory clutch and i beat him off the line and at roll starts. dont know what it is. and he is not a bad driver. guess it goes to show u that the pulley and 2.25" piping compared to 2.5" for n/a makes a dif. if i had a 2.5" s pipe i prob would have left him with no problem. especially if my window had been up and it was just me in the car.
Nice topic, I have also chosen, so far, to stick to n/a
Besides full suspension, I have CAI, MMW/Weapon R header- to S-pipe, to High flow Magnaflow cat to 18" magnaflow resenator, to Magnaflow Muffler(from the orig Magnaflow cat back kit.
I have not had any sort of Dyno, never thought it was worth it, Also dont know cost or location to go.
I def felt more power, and a dif curve. Currently I feel since I have the high flow cat right after the s-pipe its a bit restrictive and I want to remove it. It honestly feels like a small turbo, I dont get much of a curve until it hits 3k. I think its the way I mounted a short 30 degree angle cat right off the s-pipe.
It sounds great, very quite when Im just cruising and well a very nice tone when im going, when IM hitting it hard I def still get rasp, but only from 1800-3000k rpm
I'm very interested in a little more power, or I may jump to turbo, but also thinking about selling from a rwd in a year.
I will be fixing the exhuast next weekend hopfully, will update with any changes then, may alo look into a dyno for ____s an giggles.

for good power do this with all this done you should be pushing 200 whp or close to it ;)
Header , Intake , Exhaust , down pipe , pulleys , Cam gears & a nice clutch from ATC & your ride would be v room v room fast adding a engine management system would be a good idea s well

Yeah, I dont. I bought the TC cause I got a great price and needed something nice and reliable. Also loved the hatchback and style.
I did the suspension and it handles great. As for power, I wanted to keep it reliable as possible, so I stuck with N/A.
As for the Exhaust, My first time messing with it. so, Its been a project never finished, Learned how to weld, and built it myself.
I really want a RWD car, but will be sticking with the TC for atleast another two years, so Will try to make the best of it.
im sticking to NA for a while.. this is my build so far...:
-Dezod S-Pipe-Back Exhaust System (Custom cutout for 30" Magnaflow Resonator)
-DME Headers
-Black Injen CAI
-Ark V2 Short Shifter
-Exedy Stage 1 Clutch
-20% Underdrive Crank Pulley & CR-Lite Crank Pulley
-Looking for a 12lbs flywheel
-Also gotta pick up the GReddy Air Diversion Panels.. car runs even better
-I also gotta get an S-Pipe for my exhaust but I don't know if the Invidia will fit between my DME headers and the Dezod N/A piping
I was also thinking about getting the emanage blue but thats piggyback system.. do i achieve great numbers or tunes with it or should i just spend the extra bucks to get the standalone? i also thought about the Zex Wet Nitrous Kit but that messes up your car quick.. i need help with my setup.. im hitting walls! i wanna get dynoed before next summer..
any suggestions on what I should get next.. keep im mind i gotta add lip kit and wheels this winter so nothing crazy! im only 20 years old.. i go to school and work plus cant really install pistons or cams myself but i can have someone else do it or atleast help me.. lol

If its an everyday car for you, also you need the engine to last, stay away from any sort of Nitrous.
A Air Diversion Panel wont do anything for performance, not sure why that is listed?
air diversion panel in theory is supposed to direct more air throught the radiator. keeping air from coming out through the top just going straight into the radiator. if it actually does anything idk. also if your buying the s pipe back dezod exhaust its coming with an s pipe hence the title s pipe back exhaust. if it was after the s pipe it would be called a catback exhaust. see the difference. and yes i heard tuning does help. helps u get the most out off all the bolt ons you have. lets u tune to get better a/f ratios with the new high flow intake and less restricted exhaust. also for n/a your best bet is to run 2.25" piping after the s pipe. like the a-power exhaust would prob be perfect but its just expensive. also ive seen nitrous on a tc and yes it made it faster but not by much. not worth the risk. and plus dry shot is a waste so if u want nitrous def do wet shot just plan to have a spare motor if u shoot it wrong or u run it wrong. and dont go more than a 75 shot.
I don't understand why you would want to go from 2.5 to 2.25? unless you are running an open muffler, or a fart can exhaust? If you run a real muffler, such as the Magnaflow setup I think you would want to stick to 2.5
How many people have tested this 2.25 vs 2.5?

I don't know if you know what exhaust I'm talking about but it's this one:
http://www.dezod.com/pd_dezod_motors..._stainless.cfm
It's called a S-Pipe back because it goes AFTER the s pipe which is NOT included.. You see the small resonator that comes with it? I'm actually selling it cause I had the 30" magnaflow put in there (check my sig). This exhaust is something between 2.25" and 2.5" .. i called them and asked them when I bought the resonator. I forgot the fraction they gave me.
the air division panel doesn't give you extra HP.. i never said it did.. it makes the engine bay a lil cooler.. i drive my car alot and dont wanna run into problems in the future so im playing it safe..
And if I do the the tweaks, it will have to be with the standalone.. im already spending a lot of $.. might as well spend a couple of hundred more to do it the right way.

Any one using a High Flow cat with there setup?
I'm considering removing mine, just because really it was a messy install. My first attempt at building/welding an exhaust. I will still keep the hmm 18" magnaflow resonator.
Also will a flex pipe hurt power? when i was first building it, i was having trouble getting to sit properly so i got a interlocking flex pipe.
Suggestions?
