Default Injen CAI Bogging Issues?

After installing my CAI I've noticed the idle being slightly rougher but I didn't think it was that big a deal.. then earlier today as I was waiting to turn into the main road my tC started bogging big time.. at first I thought I was letting go of the clutch but I was holding it down to the floor at the time.. I gave it a little gas to make the rpm's jump abit and everything was good.. anyone else experience this problem?

I have the injen as SRI, I have not had this problem. actually my idle rpm dropped a little i think.

did you do the resetting and let the car run for 5-10 minutes after so the car can relearn?

I believe what your experiencing is part of the tC's fuel mapping that was mentioned a while back in another thread.
At low RPM's the tC runs lean in order to conserve fuel, which tends to cause hesitation and lurching of sorts if you try to drive it at very low RPMs. Adding a CAI seems to amplify this because the engine idle seems to drop after installation.

After a cold start I notice the same thing, but as soon as apply more throttle it levels out smoothly.

one other thing is check all of your connections on the install... make sure all of the connectors are tight, having a lose connection to the throttle body can induce major bog, and even make your engine shut off =)

Yea my car was warmed up when this happened and during the install I kicked back and smoked 2 cigz so that amounts to 15 minutes while I let the car idle.. I'm gonna check tomorrow for loose connections but that whole bogging thing freaked me out..

what he said. i remember the first time i had installed my injen (sram)intake. the connections were not on well and i definitely had some bogging. the only time i notice anything now is right at first when it's warming up which is normal.
