Injen Exhaust Help
Really frustrated.... First time doing anything to a car, learning as I go along. Anyway, everything is lined up perfectly, the hangers are right and the bolts line up perfectly, but the pipe is knocking against the black piece that you run it under. Any suggestions on how to fix this?
Is it rubbing when you put the car back on the ground, or only when it's jacked up off the ground. Also, what springs you have?
I'm assuming the "black peice that you run it under" your talking about is the rear axle?
I'm was on TRDs when I installed mine and switched to Hothckis but I don't recall any rubbing on anything, ever.
As a matter of fact, it hangs much lower then I would like. See:

i've got the injen exhaust and don't haven't experienced any rubbing issues. The gaskets rotate - can you make sure they're all hanging down - that will make sure the piping is running as low as possible and will hopefully get rid of any rubbing.
also, if you could take a picture of where you're experiencing the rubbing, we could help out much better.

where is the second hanger supposed to be? in front of the rear axle right? My exhaust isnt hung down like that, but I re checked the paper and everything looks right, but my pipe isn't that low
cant get pics yet, but the piece on that picture thats hanging down on your pic is pushed up right on the axle on mine. I just looked and I dont know how i would move it because then it wouldn't fit in the 2nd hanger.
If it's quiter then the old exhaust, it's just a different muffler.
If it's quiter then the Injen when it was mounted incorreclty, it's because it was not on correctly so the seal was not fully closed. Bassically like having a hole in your exhaust before the muffler. The Injen in not very loud, just nice and deep, and even then only when you rev.
