Default Injen SR RULES!!! MUST HAVE FOR tCers (PICS SOON)

Christmas came early this year for me. Got my Injen CAI in and installed it today. It its awsome. I went SR cause it rains and floods here so no bypass no CAI. But that is ok the SR sounds a little louder anyway. For you guys who are installing it treat that MAFS as if it was your life. They are VERY VERY SENSATIVE!!! But the install was easy, also you HAVE TO TAKE OUT THE BATTERY (resets the computer, will not work right if you dont)!!!! When you are done go over all the hoses and seals and make sure they are TIGHT NO AIR LEAKS!!! When you are done YOU HAVE TO LET IT IDLE FOR AT LEAST 10 MIN. DON'T EVEN TAP THE GAS ONCE IT IS STARTED!!! After all of that ENJOY!!! Sounds great it has a deep growl and whistles like crazy I love it!!! YOU HAVE TO GET ONE.

Do yourself a favor, and put that CAI piece on... you wont hydrolock your motor unless you drive into a lake, the filter sits too high. Plus the cai piece was dyno'd for 5 extra hp.

If you did your homework.... you'd see all of us had done the combo of SR or CAI quite some time ago.....

Glad your happy with your setup.... CAI will be even better.

i know the CAI is better but i didnt have the time to mess with the bumper and wheel at the time. I was just posting for those guys that were having the problems with the MAFS and getting their cars to run properly. I did my homework and i know that the CAI is better and adds more hp than the SR. But didn't have the time plus i wanted to make sure it was going to work before i put on the extra pipe cause some guys were blowing their MAFS.

i'll tell you right now, installing the CAI piece is a B ITCH. its so damn frustrating, but well worth it in the end. its also a bit quieter, which is good i guess (i'm in CA and cops are a _____ about aftermarket stuff). taking the wheel off is a breeze, and you don't have to take off the bumper entirely..i took off not even half of it, only just enough to slip the pipe in, thats all.

You dont have to pull your bumper off. Just jack up the drivers side, take off the wheel, and take off the inner plastic liner about halfway. That gives you plenty of room to work with. Plust saves you about 15 minutes, of time. (Removing Bumper)

also, to make it easy on the 2nd pipe install, i rolled a tube sock down it lol - sounds dumb, but it made it easy to keep the scratches off.
