well you first need to get the belt off, and to do that, you need to unbolt the alternator bolts so it can move more freely, so you can tension the hose later on.....space down there is really limited, and i would suggest having at least one other person there to lend a hand.....you don't necessarily need air tools, but you will need a very large breaker bar, and hopefully you have an extensive tool box/kit.....after that hopefully you memorized how the belt ran through the pulleys, cause you don't just wrap it around the pulleys....i would say on a scale of difficulty, exhaust is like a 2, cold air intake is a 4, turbo kit a 9, then pulleys are around a 6.....

^ what he said ^
please make sure you READ my thread 100%..dont just look at the pictures and think you understand what to do.

there is alot of good info in there. if you run into a problem or any questions, you can PM me.
i have had my pulley installed for over 2 years now...runs perfect as the day i put it on..no issues.

Malibu: WTH are you talking about. you dont have to even touch the alternator.
my DIY is the easiest thing to follow. and does everything in the correct manor.
and when you take off the OLD pulley, you dont remove the belt...leave it where it hangs then just put the new pulley in.

took me 15-20 mins..i work on toyotas all day so it was easy but thats with a lift...without could range more. some lube helps (rust penatrent or even alil brake fluid) air tools makes it easy.. should be fine..if you've never done a serp belt on it just take a good mental pic so you remember how it goes on...

took me and my friend about 45 min, just had a lil trouble getting the belt back on and plus a couple potty breaks... (too many sodas from the install right before) but we had some problem with the pulley itself, his impact could not get it off ...after about 10 min of struggling with it, we finally came off by hand, other than that, real straight forward, easy to get to...
