Default Installed camcon and intake. Dyno inside. *W/ Time slips*

Current Performance Modifications:
Megan Header
Megan S-pipe
2 1/2 Custom Exhaust
Umnitza Carbon Fiber Intake
Custom 2 1/2 Intake Piping
Camcon Fuel/Cam Controller

Pics of intake:

I spent most of the time getting the a/f right as it was running really rich. On the first couple of pulls the a/f ratio was around 10.2 - 10.8 from 3500 to 6500. There is defiantly more power to be found in the cam timing between 2000 and 4500. I ran out of time and did not get to tune the cam timing below 4500. I am going to get back on the dyno in a couple of weeks and finish tuning the cam timing.

I did not get a graph with the stock numbers or the numbers before tuning the camcon.

Stock= 140 hp and 143.6 ft/lbs
Before tuning= 154.2 hp and 155.4 ft/lbs

Dyno:

Time Slips: Car #17

Big Thanks to Mike Murphy of Sublime Speed Technolgy in Omaha, NE for all his time and help.

right on man, camcon isn't a bad product. i'm not a fan of the mustang dynos though. Either way good gains and the car will drive much better with a properly tuned a/f.

The Camcon wires into the ecu. The wiring diagram and the instructions make it real easy to install.

The a/f is already tuned. I just have to finish tuning the cam timing below 4500. You can really see on the graph where the power picks up at 4500.

i thought that camcon didnt work below 4000rpm due to our smart ECU relearning and adjusting itself? or am i completely wrong?? if so can someone enlighten me b/c i really thought that our ECUs were very smart and always overwritten any changes mad in a non-WOT situation.

thanks

The Camcon is only for tuning WOT. You can tune WOT down to 1000 rpm but you can't do any part throttle adjustments. You can also tune the cam timing down to 2000 rpm.

nice torque curve...
I think I can squeeze some more out on the bottom end which will smooth the peak out. I would also like to try and pick up a little more hp from 5800 to redline. We will find out in a couple of weeks. I am goiong to the track this weekend to see what it will run. I am not set up for drag racing but it will be nice to see what kind of times I can put down.

do NOT mess with tuning if you don't know what you're doing... wait for someone to help you so you don't blow your car up.

Timeslips show high to low 15's (I'm assuming your car #17). I ran a 15.6 stock before. With all the extra add-ons, why only .2 or .3 seconds improvement?

Also, what kind of tC are you driving where it weights 3400lbs!!!

your definitely leaving room for improvement. with similar mods (you have camcon, whereas i have pullies) i've pulled a 14.96 @ 91.xx get that 60' down! my 60' on that run was a 2.05. your best was a mid 2.3..... your leaving your time at the line

Good call Neo, I was wondering why it was higher then it should be. I noticed however, he started getting his 60's better as he went on. 15.2 is a good run.

Also, what kind of tC are you driving where it weights 3400lbs!!!
We were not sure what the weight of the tc was. This number is only for the vehicle simulation test on the Mustang Dyno and does not affect the overall numbers.
I have since been told that they weigh 2930. Can anyone confirm this number?

You are absolutely correct. This was the first time I was at the track with all the new modifications. I only made three passes. I really wish I could have had a few more runs and maybe some better tires. The slips show that it is true when they say .1 on the bottom will equate to .2 on the big end. If I can nail some low 2.0 60’ we should see some high 14 sec. passes.
Neothin, what kind of tires are you runing and how were you launching your car?

My best run was actually a 15.541.

I know the slips are hard to read. I don't have the best scanner.
Here are the times:
60'------------2.571-------------2.466----------------2.340
1/4-----------15.901------------15.783--------------15.541
mph-----------90.98--------------87.76---------------32.54

I am not sure what happened with the mph on the last past. I was told it would not affect any of the times.
