What's with the 3 hose clamps? Shouldn't you only need 2? One on each part?

im not sure how it matches up 2 those but from all the dyno's and stuff that iv read all aftermarket intakes were pretty close as to hp gains...i can tell alil difference in terms of a faster launch and when you get on it the growl that the intake makes basicly pays for itself..im happy with my choice and glad i diddnt pay $200-250 or whatever it was on the "name brand" intake if anything i may change out the filter to a better one sometime down the road

Went with a similar Intake, but it was from Option Racing. Glad I bought it instead of the Injen one. Bought also an AEM Bypass Valve just in case :D

On the contrary, not all intakes are created equal. Injen Technology yeilded the highest #'s on the dyno in the intake shootout that was posted a while back. Umnitza did not fair well, I think it lost like 4lbs of tQ down low. Do a search and you will see the thread.

Like I said, you get what you pay for.

and with an intake, your pretty much paying for noise so I would agree that he got what he paid for. you have a turbo, so you where power is made and an intake isnt necessarily it.

Sorry, I disagree. Injen's intake has the highest yeilding HP of all the intakes.

na, the one in the middle probly could go i jus put in there bc there was an extra in the box and were the 2 tubes connected there felt alil loose so i went ahead and used it jus to be on the safe side...and i do believe you get wat you pay for wen it comes to performance or any mod 4 that matter...im not settin my car up for racing or anything like that its an everyday driver back and forth to work and around town...im jus lookin to have a nice clean ride with a few modz for local shows and things not tring to break a new speed/horsepower record with my tC!

i think all intakes are and aren't the same at the same time. the pipes themselves are pretty much similar so any intake, brand name or generic, should work the same. the MAIN difference is with the air filters. the name brand ones allow more air in and filter more particles out better than brand X filters. so the name brand ones are better. i would suggest that u get a generic intake from ebay then replace the filter with a name brand one (AEM, Fujita, K&N, etc. that way u'll get the best of both worlds. i myself got a short ram pipe from ebay and put a AEM dryfilter for $100. ( $60 for generic intake pipe and $40 for the AEM filter.) this set-up works great.
