installing INJEN CAI
i just converted my sr to cai it was a payne. i never want to do that ever again.i did notice when i had sr for a week i did lose some low end tq but the sound was great also the engine was more responsive.now that it is a full cai it fells like stock with just a little more kick and it has a deeper tone now. and that vinyl trim is a waste i dont have it on and no rattles at all.does injen now how much it sucks to install it.its a nice cai but cheaply done.shame on them charging all that low not so perfect quality.but i do enjoy my cai
its really easy to install cai, al u do is loosen the fender by taking 4 screws off the top, remove like 5 screws from the plastic stuff in wheel well, pull bumper out a bit, instal cai then replace the screws. takes me 25-30 min everytime i switch between stock and injen intake. i dont take the wheel off or raise my lowered car.

lol n e ways how about wat i said earlier, n e one know if its true?
hey guys, im not sure if it was already said, but is it true we have to drill small holes on the bottom right of the bumper where the plastic black part is thats considered a small grill so that the intake can get air??? because i never did that and am wondering if it will help

after installing the intake as cold air, i was quite disappointed by the sound. performance however, was quite good. i think i'm gonna convert it to short ram later on. i read about how the cold air intake was suppose to be loud and this and that, but i failed to hear that. after all the trouble of getting the secondary hose in, now i have to take it out. but it does look like the air filter will be a tight fit when it is connected to the hose.
really? hmmm.. i probably need to make sure everything is tighten up. i mean i installed in correctly with a friend and everything. no air leaks, no weird sounds coming from anywhere. it functions properly. i don't know...
I can't believe this topic still exist. Well, guess I will make a contribution to it. This was the Injen intake on the old tC that we had. Installed as a CAI, this is what you are to expect....

That's no easier than taking 10 screws out and pulling the bumper off.
Let's see
10 screws and 1 front bumper VS. Jacking up the car + taking tire off + taking fender lining out....
