installing quicker/shorter shifter
what are my best options and most durable and trustworthy clutch and shifter kits out there?
also i'm worried about budget but not too much. i like getting nice things, not cheap things. but not paying out the @$$ for it either!

i like my megan racing shifter, and i think it's the same as the creative compacts shifter. The height is good, and the throws are nice too. But I have heard nothing but good things about the Doc. I shifter...
in terms of price, i got the megan SS with base bushings AND a metal **** for $65 shipped. huge difference, throws were more crisp, and obviously shorter. very happy with the height, i dont feel like im leaning to reach the shifter. just put on my cable bushings on today, and shifting is even still sooo much smoother and crisper than stock.
meganSS + base bushings + metal **** + corsport cable bushings = $95 shipped
very satisfied :] shifts real "sporty"

i had one for a while, it was nice, but when i went back to stock I realized how much easier it is to shift with a stock shifter. Personally unless I was going to a track I won't put in another short shifter. I did keep the cable bushings though, they did tighten up the shift feel.
