I got a ticket for have blue fog lights event though the cop needs his eyes checked cuz they were yellow...anywho he poped my hood open n i do have an injen complete cold air intake ...so he issued me a ticket vc27156(b) modified intake only problem is that i just got my tc bout 5-6 months ago from the dealership and when I bought it it already had the intake installed i told him that but either he didnt believe me or didnt care. so my question is...is the dealership allowed to sell you a car that is "modified" now i have to go to the referee station and get it checked [/b] please help i would appreciate it thanks!!!

 

yes the dealership can sell you a modded car, and i have never heard of that kind of ticket

 

You don't live in California. They can ticket you for anything without a CARB sticker.

CA laws suck for modified car owners. I've gotten that same ticket only he didnt send me to state referee. Just an FYI... the fines for the state ref are not cheap by any means.

The injen dont come with a CARB sticker... one thing you can do is find some place that sells carb stickers, the sticker would be for a different car but cops dont know that. When i got my hood popped. It worked.

 

no not agianst the law 2 have a intake as long as it has a carb sticker or eo# on the intake cali laws are freaken strict i hate it!!! n i wasnt the one who put the intake in anyways
