Jumping/Bumping noise from front transaxle
My front passenger side wheel or transaxle makes a hopping or jumping noise (BUMP-BUMP-BUMP-BUMP!!!!) like something is loose or jumping when I accelerate from a stop or when I am accelerating hard and letting off the clutch into a turn. Once in a while it will make a noise with "smaller and quicker bumps" when I am letting off my clutch.
It's getting worse now and has been getting worse for a long time *(years). It used to only happen on the turns when I was gunning it out of a parking lot or taking off really fast and turning a corner.
Is this a CV joint or axle issue? How can I tell if this needs to be replaced?
