Yep already read that, and didn't care...Still needs to keep it on topic, and keep all the other misc. BS to PM's.

Looks like that middle clamp shouldnt be there and that the other 2 need to be closer to the middle. maybe 1/2 of an inch away from the edge since you have plenty of room. I have the injen CAI and both sides of the pipe has a rib that helps it clamped in.

oh yea...go ZPI

i'll agree that the name brand ones probably put more r&d into the "piping" of their intakes but c'mon how much more horsepower can that yeild. 1-2 hp at most. is that worth the extra $100 - $200 dollars for the name? and all boxman is tryin to say is that the generic intake pipe wif a name brand filter hasn't been dyno'd to see if it has as much power if not more then the name brand intakes. so since u don't have that info u can't jus claim that the name brand ones work better. all i said was that IMO, its works great. i never claimed that my mix intake was BETTER than the name brand ones. jeesh.

^^ that's what I was thinking. Can u sacrifice 2 hp for $150, when u can put those $150 when buying a good header, where hp difference will be noticed more?

Point taken, all I was trying to do is clarify that it's not the same thing as actually buying an intake that has been R&D'ed. But also must mention that during that Dyno shootout of the intakes, the Umnitza CF intake that came out, was dynoed, and it showed a 4 wtq LOSS over the stock intake. Think about that as food for thought, and that an Intake can be designed wrong, and actually loose HP/tQ as in the case with the Umnitza one.

Ok kids... ZPi this zpi that BOXMAN it has nothing to do with this post... And if you call me a ZPI supporter Ill take action on ya...

Anyways back to topic...

There was a intake shoot out...

This intake is a different design then the rest from the way they pipe lays out.

Yes the injen is a tight fit its that way for a reason... Called the r&d of the curves of the pipe... It still has the best gains. And until somone dynos this one we dont know how it is. But all the other ones like this off ebay that have been tested have not done good like the injen.

Anyways looks good except for all the clamps

I saw this intake awhile back and wanted to try it out. I mean, if it does show decent gains, its worth it for $100. If I had a dyno near me, I'd have bought this and already dyno'd it. Why doesn't somebody work out a deal with the manufacturer and dyno it? Or someone that has it...do a baseline with stock and then do a run with intake, and tell the manufacturer what you're doing and see if you can work something out cost-wise. Just do it even if they won't work out pricing so you can help out the Scion community and end the bickering.

Didnt you have an agreement to get an intake and provide a dyno?
