thank for posting that up. There will always be a difference when dynoing the same car on a different day. You will notice that the Injen is down on HP, but so is the F5...we wanted to do 2 intakes that where tested in the first run to show that the hp went proportionally down.

There are alot of things that could have caused this. humidity and ambient air temp are the two main ones.

Wow, I guess the weapon R is pretty good for a short ram and the Umnitza is a piece... Are you guys sure you reset the ECU correctly before trying the Umnitza?

hrmm, i really don't know why the first dyno runs where so eratic. The smoothing is the same on both.

I wasn't around for the first run...i'll ask greg and see what he has to say.

yes, we reset the ecu for each intake. we ran multiple runs with each intake as well.

the first run would be low, and the hp numbers would rise on each additional run, until they leveled out.

this usually takes about 4 or 5 runs after an ECU reset.

the hp rise and plateu on the intakes shows the ecu learning and then steadying itself out.

Yeah I totally understand that the two sets of dynos shouldn't really be compared, I was just going mad juming from page 1 to page 11, so I figured I'd get them all on one page.

The bouncing up and down of the curves is a worry on the first sets.

The Weapon R (for what it's worth) has the best A/F look, which is interesting.

But personally I'd have to think hard before I got a weapon r.

I'm really glad I went with the Injen, way back a couple of months ago I could have gone with the K&N and weapon-r like evrybody else was, but I had a good feeling about the Injen cold air intake.

Yeah, but the weapon R lost almost 20 ft/lbs at 3,500 rpms. I can deffinately feel it on my car. That's a lot of power to give up down low for a small 4 hp gain. Looks like it's running pretty lean in that area which may be causing a timing issue. I guess I will be trading in my WR for an Injen intake.

Injen was my first choice, because it was one of the first to market with a Full CAI system. Glad I have bragging rights to go with my choice too.

Can you guys please overlap the Injen, Umnitza and Weapon R? I especially want to see the torque figures.

Cole - thanks for running these.

We just finished talking on the phone regarding this - certainly the strange A/F graph on our intake definitely played a role in this test.

When you do get a chance to rerun, please do so We're going to a dyno this Friday at 4:30. Just this comparing to Stock.

This graph almost painfully points out why Stu's Engine may have died. It could very well have been the combination of his Header and WR Intake that killed his engine. This car with the WR intake dyno'd lean at WOT all the way though the pull. I would be scared ____less to run a WR intake after seeing this graph.

Cole, I know it is not your duty,.. but what you did here by dynoing all these intakes is a huge benefit to the community.

You, some owner of the WR intake, or the manfu. themself should dyno and fuel plot this intake again. To make sure it was no fluke.

Although I was initially skeptical of the reasoning, I now appreciate that much of the A/F is a result of airflow which is caused by how the intake as a whole works.

If your intake's airflow screws the A/F settings (via the MAF) you're intake won't do well.

I'd bet that if you ran the stock air box with no box, no filter, just everything from the maf back, you'd expect good (clear air no restrictions) results, but would probably get a lose.

depends on the car.

generally the optimal air/fuel for an NA car is between 12.5 and 13 to 1.

Tonight when i run the stock airbox, it will give me a better idea of what toyota believes is the optimal air/fuel for this specific car
