Default magnaflow catback + AW header setup**UPDATE result!**

Hey guys, there should be other people out there with this set up. I have K&N CAI, AW header, and Magnaflow catback...

Now, I heard how the magnaflow sound without the header, it's pretty deep and sounds nice. But i never heard or seen other people posted one with AW header atleast. I just installed my magnaflow... And it sounds pretty weird to me... First thing i noticed is, feels/sounds like i have no exhaust at all... too quiet, when i rev up i dont hear much deep sounds as i would expect but rather rasp all the way, say about 90% rasp and 10% deep... I took this baby out for a drive.. and i listened to it as i speed thru the freeway and street(i tried stayin under the limit, but freeway i went atleast 80). And it's nothing but rasp and quietness... On the freeway as i cruise i mostly hear more sound in the front engine area then the back, lol weird to me...

Now i've drive my car with cai, and aw header for a while now and i had no trouble much with rasp(only when its hot outside atleast) but since i put this exhaust on it's like the rasp on my header got louder lol and it's like coming more from the front than the front...

Does anyone know? Is this normal? How does the magnaflow really sounds when aw header ... ?

ionno what's wrong>.< anyone got an idea?

hey im running the same set up as you but i have an injen cai and there is nothing wrong with yours, its pure rasp with mine also... i need to get a hi flow cat and that should take care of most of the rasp...but for now its just pure raspness but since i added my megan s pipe it made rasp louder when i first start up my car but when i run it after a while it gets deeper when the engine heats up..

well, when we removed the stock header we also removed a cat so i figured that if we just add a bigger hi flow cat it should remove the rasp since the stock resonator cant handle all that rasp, i say hi flow cat because it will help you pass smog but if you dont care you can just add a bigger resonator. either way will eliminate rasp...

The resonator will do more for you than a hi-flow cat will. If you are running the magnaflow cat back your stock cat will still be in place so that will help to reduce the overall rasp. A 30" or larger resonator will dramtically lessen the raspiness of the system with a header.
