oh my goodness...
you would seriously need like... custom everything, and would be better off buying an 2G GSX Eclipse and modifying it.

anyone else hate these threads? i don't wanna be harsh, but 99.9% of these fantasies never pan out.

and truthfully being a machanic for toyota after college, you prolly won't learn much than the average joe already knows. i kno like next to ____ bout cars, but when i went to the toyota service center it seemed like i knew more than a few of their workers there.

and btw its' not worth it.

if u want a awd import go for the wrx/evo/gsx

if u want a rwd go find a 240 or miata

it's not worth the time, money or effort... toyota mechanic or not.

i can get access to TIS fine.. and looking at it all... i'm saying you're better off spending the money elsewhere.

ummm, civic is way beyond us *except SI*, dont compare a p civic to a TC, cuz a TC will always look good and stay worthed!

If you seriously have the time and money to do such a task I think that would be pretty awesome. But realize if you just want an awd vehicle, it would be a lot easier and probably better for you just to buy one of the above stated cars. If you just want a crazy project and you think you know enough about cars to do this without completely messing your ride up. More power to you. Who wouldn't want a awd or even a 4wd tc? You could probably turn this car into a sick machine if you wanted, but when you were done, it woudln't really be a tc anymore. It would be some kinda freakish monster.

My plans are to take a Rav4 drivetrain and swamp it to the tc. RAV4 uses the same engine and also the matrix would be a good drive train but the engine is a 1.8l so idk if anything would be swampable.
I have alot of ideas, and maybe one day when the tc gets played out like the civic, i'll start this drastic tranformation ( supercharger would be needed ) Also is the rav4 4wd full time or part time or does it turn on automaticly? I noticed it has better fuel mileage then the tc
So you're in college and you use the wrong word in place of swap? Interesting
