Hey folks, I'm considering buying a Megan Drift-Spec Catback exhaust. I was wondering on this burning issue. Is it as a big deal as everybody makes it out to be? Are there any solutions? Preventative methods? Oh and BTW, sorry for the thread revival lol.

I have had no issues. just a lil carbon buildup but just wipe it off with some car soap and wallah! I could see if people mounted it wrong yea. but me and my buddy have no issues.

Yeah I have seen both the above exhausts and neither one sit close enough to burn,Megan may have done a tweaking to move the angle a little.

So I guess its safe to assume that the burning issue was more of an early model engineering defect, and that all future and current models have been fixed to avoid the problem? Is it safe to surmise I can go ahead and spend my money on one? LOL

It's honestly the best sounding exhaust IMO, but then again poor quality cameras and video taking skills usually distort the true sound.

Well first off yours is sitting way to close to the bumper. Plus with your lip kit is in the way as well. My buddy has a five axis lip kit and it doesnt burn his and mine doesnt burn either. Your exhaust definitely looks off.

It might be sitting on that weird round gasket wrong. the one that is bigger then gets smaller. Or maybe it is a hanger. Mine sits where i want out the back but i do need to adjust a hangar so its not sitting on my heat shield for my gas tank.

Oh also how far are the hangers shoved into the rubber donuts? Cause i have mine shoved back to where it starts to bend on the hangar.
