Default Megan OE exhaust

Guys,

I am thinking of getting the Megan OE exhaust. One that doesn't stick out in an angle.

Where's the best place to pick it up? And for the guys that has this exhaust, how's the weight compared to the stock unit? and how is the build quality of the exhaust?

I don't want a loud exhaust or any canister one.

Thanks,

Mike

i absolutely love mine. i didn't compare weight, but the quality is pretty good. and it sounds awesome. I think RoBear Racing has a pretty decent price at $375 plus shipping.

Thanks for the pics. They look really nice.

I am thinking of only getting the axle back and have a local shop do the rest. Do you happen to have an aftermarket header as well?

no.. no header. but if you add a header, then don't get the midpipes. instead get a resonator.. or else it'll rasp.

dieselstation and all other oe-rs owners, is it just me or does my exhaust look a little low?

i didn't think much of it at first, but now it's really starting to bother me. i mean, the whole exhaust tip is practically below the edge of the bumper. is my exhaust the only one that looks like this? dieslastation, the picture you took from the back was taken from a higher angle than the one i took, but it still looks like your exhaust tip sits higher than mine. would you be able to take a picture dead on like my second one so i can get a better comparison?

i took this snapshot from the video posted on youtube and you can clearly see that his exhaust tip is well inside the bumper cut-out.

from the second picture, it almost looks as if the pipe that comes out of the exhaust is welded on at an angle. it seems to slope downward before it curves out. anyone else seeing this?

what do you guys suggest? it's not like i could have messed something up with the installation. everything was straight forward. is this something megan might fix? can you guys post more pictures for comparison please? thanks.

I have the S pipe back version of this exhaust and I love it! I bought mine from J at C2 Auto, but later found that houseofscion.com sells it for less. This exhaust weighs quite a bit less than stock. The build quality is pretty good. It sounds amazing!

What is the size of the tip on the exhaust? Which one would ya choose, Megan OE-RS or the ARK dt-s exhaust?

Thanks for the replies. I still haven't made up my mind as of this moment, but I am now leaning towards Tanabe Touring.
