Default New Invidia S-pipe for tc ?s

So i just ordered the alphawerks headers, injen intake, and hotchkis sways for my car... now i see this new s-pipe from invidia come out for the tc... does anyone know if this s-pipe will fit with the TRD exhaust? Also, what exactly does a new s-pipe do for your car?

It goes like this:
Header >> S-Pipe >> Mid-Pipe >> Muffler

If you purchase a s-pipe you wont notice THAT much of an hp increase... but i've heard of it toning down some of the rasp that you get from an aftermarket header tho.

honestly - if you already have the trd exhaust - you want to get an spipe- then bring it to a muffler shop and get two 15inch resonators put on a midpipe in prep for a header. You won't get charged much doing it that way and you can keep your trd exhaust (and not lose the money on that).

Through out, stock narrows to under 1.75" in the crush bends. Are all the s-pipes 2.25 or 2.5" I'm looking for one, but I refuse to buy Megan.

i got my invidia last week, it's bigger than 2.25".
my caliper reading puts it at 2.5" outer diameter, and 2.4" inner diameter...at both ends.

and my understanding is that the stock s-pipe is just under 2" at either end. but i will confirm this after the swap sometime next week.

Let us know about fitament, performance, sound, etc. For the money, it looks the best to me.

thanks

FYI - for people reading about spipes - nobody should be spending more then $150 on an spipe - if you are ...look else where. The going price for them everywhere is around $120-150 before shipping and tax.

i got mine from ultrarev. i believe they are a sponsor here. anyway, they are running a 5% off promo so it worked out well. the only bad part was they are in NY so i had to pay tax. oh well, can't get everything.

well i got the car up on jack stands and that's not going to happen. scared the tish out of me. stands off kilter a bit and then they sank a good 1/2" into the asphalt. so f that.
i think i have to invest in some ramps.
will they give enough clearance for most of my underbody work i want to do? s-pipe...exhaust, sway bar..and maneuverability for torquing a wrench?

I had some rhino ramps, only gave me about 16-18" clearance. Not much room to manuver under the car.

bummer. guess i can't slide under it with my padded mechanics sled. is this going to be an effort in futility?

i've seen rhino's are about 8" in height, but some of the metal ones online go to about 10" max. funny the plastic can hold more weight than the metal ones.

Can you try putting a piece of plywood or something under the jack stands to distribute the wieght better?

honestly i'd rather not. wood can split and those stands looked bad. plus i used a hydraulic jack that has wheels, not a straight up/down bottle jack...so the car and the unit move as it raises the car. so jack 1 is good, until you start to place jack2, that movement pulls the first jack off its center. not sure how to explain. but anyway, no way i am getting my a$$ under that. my luck, i got the jack that had the spotty weld done in china on a friday right before happy hour. so snap snap and kiss my butt goodbye. i'm more concerned about the car falling on me as i jostle the exhaust than my driveway getting pock marked.

i think i will try the ramps, but i'll have to rest on a towel instead of my sled to get the extra few inches.

i installed the invidia pipe on my car. the stock pipe at its biggest point is smaller than the invidia. you will notice in the pictures how the stock pipe starts off at one size and actually gets smaller half way down.

yes the invidia pipe fits perfectly. i'm actually still using it with my turbo kit. the welds are flawless. and believe me i know a good weld. i use to be a welder. this pipe is definatly worth the money considering the quality that you get. i also got mine from ultrarev.com.
