Default Monster Motorworks Header +26HP/24.4TQ

Monster Motorworks has a header on their website for the Scion tC. M2 is claiming gains of 26HP and 24.4TQ. Does anyone have this header or can they support this?

No one has dyno'd the header by itself, but there are some dynos here:

The MMW dyno results are from the tC that we sponsor. Those are real dyno numbers and the vehicle had our axle back as well. They had about three runs and each time got better.

Now was that 26whp 24wtq from the I/H/E combined? or is that what the header gained with the I/E already installed?

If the runs got progressively better.. then I would say you have inconsistant data. Not saying it is incorrect, but you should have done three more pulls t osee if you could get consistent numbers.

It was progressing more because the car was getting warmer. The motor was not at normal temperature yet. We did dyno it again and it was the same after the last one.

With an otherwise stock car it's 15 hp and 14 lb*ft of torque dyno'd on a hub-dyno... it's in the MMW Race Header Dyno thread...

quick question... i have the first original mmw header made.. i bought it off the guy who had it. its only been half a year and well the other day i woke up to find that my car was making a strange chucking/rattling sounds. i pop up my hood to find that my mmw header cracked/popped where the welds were.

now i'm wondering, is monster motorwork willing to replace it for me with a new one or am i screwed? i mean i paid a great deal of money for the "best" header to find that it cracked on me because of normal daily use?

Nope, you bought it from someone else, not from MMW. They will ask if you have the original receipt. Thats how warranty polices work, you bought it used, you take it used.

I would ask them anyway to be on the safe side though.

Just go get it re-welded. I have the other original and one of my welds busted from slamming it into the ground (damn massive invisible dips).

I would assume that it would also depend on where the breaks are...

I have the MMW header with the DraXas exhaust, but I also have the supercharger, so it will sound different.
