Sometimes I wonder if people will ever understand the benefit of a good powerband over peak horsepower.

The Alphawerk header provides a gain throughout the powerband not just peak or past 3k rpm.

I can not believe or understand why this set up does not throw a cell? I would need an iron clad promise that if it throws a cell a "02 simulator would be provided at no charge" before I drop that kinda cash".

So MMW my credit card is ready and will you back up that promise for $850...straight up as I will be your advocate on this forum (= more sales) if you can make that promise, I would not ask for this but at $300 increase in package price my question is worth the answer for ALL OF THE READERS of this thread.

most likely the o2 bung on the s-pipe which comes with it is set off the pipe far enough to not meter the air enough to throw a cel

so I said "pair" instead of...uh...set of headers?

I guess I'd pick up a pair to stick one in my g/f's tC

So acasanova, are you stating that the AW Headers don't rob you of low-end torque?

Search Ebay for Scion TC header..you will find many and off the top of my head to Megan and DC have the o2 on 1 cyl (same cyl as MMW).

No it does not,at least to any noticeable degree. I have dynos to prove it. The close coupled cat system is pretty restrictive, adding a AW header gives you a nice gain (10hp 10q) if your willing to accept the tradeoffs.

close coupled = stock?

I think I'm going to buy a MMW one used along with a CC full cat-back...is this no long close coupled?

for that kind of price it is making the $3000 supercharger look better (as long as the 40hp increase they keep saying/getting thrown around is whp!) but lets say you get the supercharger once its out, that header, and a good catback exhaust...the tC would be pretty fast I'd imagine compared to a stock one...but $5000+ later... :-/

i sold my alphawerk header and creative compact s pipe to buy this mmw header off a previous owner that decided to go turbo.. lemme tell ya. you feel a difference between the headers.

i took off the alphawerk header and cc s-pipe, replaced it with the mmw.. and when i first stepped on the gas.. oh man.. i was happy. low end is much better. the sound is different too. nice and deep with no rasp (little if any). keep in mind i have injen cai, trd axle back and custom mid pipe with a resonator. i like the way it sounds. i like the way it pulls. its also lighter than the aw header even though its longer.

in my opinion.. 850 for the header is steep.. but considering its more of a full race header with a 4-2-1 design and its own s pipe. its not that bad. i got it for a cheaper price than that but eh. still. i'd have to give props to mmw for the header. i'm definitely satisfied.

DynaPack dyno's show the Flywheel HP marker on top for some reason. The dyno is actually reading HP at the wheel hubs.
