now thats what im talking about..!! excellent gains..!! excellent..!!!
this is well worth $850....

SSMTC4Life... from this stock tc run.. and the one with the mods.. you can pretty much bet you will have gains... the issue with your request is that which intake should they test..? the K&N..?? their own..? AEI.(not sure if the letters are correct).?? all of them..? as he did mention in one of this post's.. dyno time does get expensive..

from the 2 runs again.. you can safely bet you will have some gains if you added "a" CAI..

you will see gains.. but probably on a different curve... if im not mistaken the alphaworks header is a 4-1 and the MMW is 4-2-1.. so the HP curve will probably be different..

I was just comparing between the first graph and this graph. The first dyno showed +15 hp and +30 torque and this laste one showed +15 hp and +15~ torque.

I just take this to mean that the intake on the tC isn't all that restrictive in comparison to other cars (aka the RSX with possibly THE most convoluted intake piping ever.)
If you read in the earlier posts, it was noted that the original dyno was miscalibrated and the torque reading was off. We recalibrated it the next day and ran it again.

alphawerks doesn't have an S-pipe included with it.

ive got the MMW header and let me tell you it is great! well worth the price. its a matched system so you dont have to worry about fitment issues becuase its a perfect fit! easy install. the fit and finish are great, real quality parts and craftmanship.

now for the performance. beofre the header i had MMW intake and i added the ZPI catback and that took away from my low end a little and nice gain up top. and it reved faster. i was pleased with the power gain from ZPI catback.

after the header i was definately impressed! the car pulls MUCH better and the low-midrange was restored! easily chrips third. the car revs even faster now. redline comes out of nowhere. very happy with my purchase.

^ he should be jealous, lol. weapon-r is the way to go man. i never really knew about them until my friend mentioned the weaponr intake to me...i decided to check it out, and got that and fell in love with anything thats weapon r...then i got my ram air kit and cold air box...now all i need is this header and my setup will be complete. i got a trd exhaust...hope the gains are still good...since its axle back. i believe the zpi exhaust is cat back rite? but yea, i'm like patiently waiting for this thing...MMW makes good quality stuff, and they're good ppl, props to them and WR

actually the ZPI exhuast is header back hehe... it connects to my MMW race header. it connects to the s-pipe. i dropped by their shop and saw a SW tc getting the MMW header and it had the TRD exhaust, the owner took the car down the block and he was happy with his purchase also. then they dyno'd his car and the header gained about 15whp on its own! thats pretty damn good if you ask me, 15whp with a stock midpipe and no intake. just the TRD.

with the TRD its actually pretty quiet compared to my car with the ZPI exhuast, the resonator really does alot and it isnt raspy like mine. sounds good with trd

thats good, but yea, i had talked to MMW and they told me about the dude with the TRD exhaust and how it didnt sound raspy at all...sounds deeper, but not too loud...which is how i personally prefer it to be, so thats great. by the way, nice car man.

I saw some pretty good numbers on the dyno from a tC running the stock airbox, MMW header, and stock muffler.

i noticed you live in california as well. aren't you worried about getting pulled over with the headers? i'm damn near tempted to get some myself, but them fines will really set you back. what about when you have to smog? are you just going to swap out the headers?

When smog comes by i would just keep your stock so you can swap them back.

I dont see ay difference in getting a DC sports header / Megan or any header at that, because it all eliminates the cat.

After that it's just all about which header makes the most power.

yeah, that makes sense. so even if this one comes with an s-pipe, is it still a simple bolt-on swap? or would i need to make any modifications to make the s-pipe fit? sorry if it's a stupid question. i haven't had the time to look under my hood.
