That's a huge gap! Take it back. Get your money back and buy it from someone reputable. How much was it by the way?

That is perfectly normal, mine and few others were the same way. Just put it on and crank down on the hose clamp and it should seal up just fine. No worries.

that is true... its not a problem if the rubber expands but if you pinch it together tight especially if its thick rubber, its gonna leave tiny holes... and its an inch gap? that is a huge gap.... get them to replace it or aftermarket parts shop should have extras in different size i think...

go back to the shop and complain. check if the other injen hoses are exactly the same... or just replace it with something smaller

plus the hose are not suppose to be over sized, it should be sized enough to expand when installed...

I just installed mine 2 days ago. The two rubber pieces that you connect the pipes with are slightly different sizes, but not by much. On the throttle body I had to screw the band 95% of the way closed, it seals fine. You dont want it to crimp up, but it does have about a 1/2 inch of size difference to make up, the injen intake tube is bigger than the throttle body, so the rubber piece has to make up the difference. Just tighten the thing all the way up, if its still really loose, switch it with the other one.
