well its that time where i need a valve adjustment...i have redlined my car everyday since day one, any who.....on to my question


i realise that we dont have adjustable vavles so how do i adjust our i know some car u replace the shims...


if this is the case for us where do i order shims and hod do i re-shim the head

 

Ya Im wondering about this as well, my buddies Tc has alotta valve chatter.

 

You can get new "lash caps" from the dealer. They are spendy, and a pain to set. Check the lash and see if its out of spec and go from there

 

my old VW had some drop in spring inside a cap thing, had to remove the cams. you would only replace not adjust.

 

Thats right. Its a solid cup on the 2az that drops over the valve spring. Have to remove the cams and install the new ones.
