Need help with Intake!!!!!!!
I recently crafted my own short ram intake and everything is fine. It sounds wicked, can feel power throughout the entire gear, and looked hella sweet. Recently, my check engine light came on and the car was horrible. There was a lag time after you step on the gas, it would bog down, and then it would go, but slowly. I put the staock air box back on and no problem. The check engine light is still on though. Thanks.
Disconnect your battery for about 5 minutes and let the car sit. Reconnect it and start the car, it might studder the first turn over, and let it run IDLE for about 5 minutes. Then go drive it normally.
The intake problem sounds like you used a filter that needed an "oil charge" but was dry. K&N filter replicas may say that they are just like K&Ns, but are not oiled. Where did you get the filter? What type is it?

It was oiled. I am gonna try to re-oil it. It was bought at a local performance shop. I could smell the oil but there is a possibility hat it had dried so thanks for the help. Any other possibilites?
Be careful with over oiling it. Some of that oil might soak through and damage your MAF sensor. Try getting a Tenzo R or K&N filter that already comes preoiled. Don't get the ones from AutoZone or Advanced. They suck!
I oiled the filter, disconnected the battery, and reinstalled it. I am leeting it idle for a while right now to let the ecu adjust the air flow that is coming in. It bogs down if you stomp it and then the rrpms drop to about 700 but it corrects itself and the evens back out. I am going to let
