Default need to replace resonator...suggestions?

i bought a cheap exhaust and decided to replace it with the apexi wsII...when they installed the wsII i decided to keep the mid pipe that came with the ebay exhaust...now it's clanging and making alot of noise everytime i'm idling and i talked to a shop about it and had it inspected and they said it was the resonator..something about it being just fiberglass and not some other material (i forgot the name he said it could be found on the magnaflow exhausts and have lifetime warranty) i'm looking for a resonator that will last me longer than a year because this one didn't even last 10 months.

you can get a magnaflow resonator i have had mine for about a year and a half and its still good . or also a AERO 25 i think this one is the best one out their . i had a vibrant before but it didnt last and also a cherry bomb which lasted like 2 months defective .

Just replace it with a AERO 25 their not expensive and will help your exhaust sound better .

i'm going to buy the ar25 but it seems like from the pics i've seen it's gonna be alot thicker than the resonator on my aftermarket mid pipe and also seems a little shorter...i believe total length of the ar25 is 14 inches and the one i have is i believe about 18 inches..do you think there will be enough room if i'm removing the old resonator because of thickness?

yeah I'm pretty sure it will fit, lots of people run that resonator. I could be wrong but it should fit

it will fit you can actually use two, one before that resonator and one after.. just have to remove that brace.. aero25 is great, imo lil better than the vibrant equivalent.. vibrant is still nice though

i'm gonna actually be cutting off the resonator on the existing pipe because it's already busted..which is why i was wondering if it would fit in that location...and also i think the one on there is a bit longer than the ar25 so i'm assuming the shop that will install this will have some extra pipe laying around (hopefully) i just got off the phone with a shop and they were saying that the ar25 is made and china and made cheaply..but i think they were just trying to sell me a magnaflow one..(install and resonator: $100) which i think is a good price but it seems like everyone recommends ar25 so i'm gonna stick with that

ar25 is probably made in china, but so is everything else on the planet.......both it and magnaflow are great but the magnaflow does not come in stainless like the rest of your piping and the AR25 does......keep it matched so it does not look chopped up if you can.

probably the biggest reason i chose ar25 over the magnaflow resonator is i found a clip on youtube showing the material inside the magnaflow resonator (rock wool i think it was) vs. the material in ar25 (ceramic) and they were blow torching both samples at the same time and the material in the magnaflow burned a hole through after a minute or so..i know it doesn't get that hot in the pipes but its a great demonstration how tough the material in the ar25 is..and they also have a lifetime warranty so i'm hoping this will be a permanent fix.
