Default NEW AEM intake installed (Blue)

Well, finally I was able to install my intake.

It took a couple hours, w/o taking off the wheel and jacking the car. The blue looks amazing and the intake sounds really nice.

Very loud sucking sound and @3K RPM, the thing opens up and has a very mean growl.

Power-wise, I can feel the increase in power, especially @3K RPM.

I would definitely recommend getting a BPV for peace of mind and prevention of hydrolock.

I'll post pics, once my camera is charged and ready.

Definitely a worthwhile purchase and I have my AF headers on the way so that'll be in this week. More reviews to come soon.

Does AEM offer a bypass valve as an option? From what I've seen, the AEM CAI for the tC looks like it has to be cut to install one.

BTW This thread is worthless without pictures.

Yeah, I know. I just installed AlphaWerks headers so I'll take pics with that too. I'm not sure about the cutting for the BPV but I do know that they do not offer it as an option and you'll have to get it separately. I haven't checked but because AEM is a huge brand, Pepboys or AAP may have the BPV. I'm gonna check tomorrow to make sure. Pics will be up tomorrow, I promise. I'm free til my final next wednesday
