Default New clutch master cylinder help

Hello,
I have 2010 Scion tC that I had clutch pedal getting stuck against the floor. Had to use my foot to lift the pedal back up. Searching here the forums I went ahead and ordered master cylinder. Went ahead replaced it with an autozone brand, installed and bled the lines. My problem is my clutch pedal just drops to the floor, tried adjusting the rod rotating clockwise. It just comes apart, from the connector piece that links to the pedal arm. I bled by pumping the pedal few tims still the same.
Thank you in advance you guys

you have to bleed the master cylander before hooking up the lines to it, then bleed the lines themselves after hooking them up. did you do that?
