Default NEW!! Info About NST pulleys

I did and i will again choose Non Stop Tuning!

heres why:

The NST Scion tC pulley kit increases horsepower via great weight reduction and the underdriving of accessories. Superior to other available kits, NST kits also offer an Overdrive Alternator Pulley to optimize output for stereo system lovers!

Each kit is carefully crafted from 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum, tested and balanced to high tolerances. Every NST pulley is hard anodized for exceptional durability and is available in a choice of colors: Blue or Graphite Gray.

BENEFITS
Great weight reduction
- Average of 65% - 70% over OEM
Increased horsepower
- Average of 7 - 10 horsepower
Lower ET's & higher trap speeds
- Average of .20s & average of 2MPH

WEIGHT COMPARISONS-_________OEM-___________-NST-
Crank Pulley_____________________59oz___________14oz
Alternator Pulley _________________10oz___________03oz
Water Pump Pulley________________14oz___________06oz

Also some notes that NST would like to point out:

1. Our underdrive specs and stats have not changed.... our underdrive pulleys NST02020 are still the same size

2. the only difference is the pulleys now have holes drilled in them for a more cosmetic look

3. this results in a little more weight reduction

also on another note:
Prices may be going up soon because the price of aluminum has steadily increased over the past couple years. So anyone interested may want to take advantage of the $99 price tag (20% Underdrive Crank) while they can.

Also a note from me

im going to make a note that i am not an employee of NST and that this is just a customers review

i hope that this was helpful and if anyone has any specific questions feel free to send NST a message on AIM: NSTonAIM :D

Check here for the NST page for ordering info

i dont exactly know the effects of it on a turbo car, but if the underdriven scares you they have a stock sized pulley that is just lightweight!!!

i also dont know when the price will go up. but dont expect it to go up a lot. you should be good. how long do you think it will take to save up? you should be good

I'm a noob to most things enginewise. How does this affect the accessories? (A/C, water pump, etc.)

The underdrive crank pulley slows down your accessories a little bit and sends less power to them. More power can be sent to drive your wheels as a result.

Your A/C will run a little bit slower than normal, but not so slow that it will blow hot air (anyone who tells you that your A/C will become a heater is full of it!)
You will gain more power at the wheels and your A/C will last longer because it is not working as hard.

The same as above goes for your water pump, alt, etc.

Another benefit of running the accessories a little slower is increased fuel economy. You will see better MPG if you install an underdrive crank pulley.

All NST pulleys are also lighter than the stock pulleys. Weight reduction leads to better throttle response and quicker lap times

Look for the screen name NSTonAIM if you use AIM and ask them to go into it further if you want.

depends who you talk to....i have seen proof both ways, so it is possible......

personally, i will be installing a pulley before long, just a matter of time...and if something goes wrong, then i have no one to blame but myself...

Is there evidence to support these on our motors? Well the real answer is still to soon to see any effects, so for now let's leave the crank pulley issues out of this thread, for this thread is not about the issues with crank pulleys.
