Just got my underdrive pulley in the mail yesterday. I'll post a quick review once I get the belt and install it this week.

no offer here i just wanted to get NST out. so that more people get their name in their head, because IMO they are the best place to go to for pulleys.

Well guys, I took the liberty of getting myself an underdriven pulley from NST today. Wish me luck. I only bought that one, and I don't expect any problems, since the guys at NST told me (they even answer e-mails sundays) that I wouldn't run into any problems since I don't have a huge strereo system in my car. So let's see, what the Digimoto Dyno says.

hmmm... if i get all 3 pulleys, will it slow down my alternator so much that it wiill stuggle to power my electronic components? (i.e., my carpc and amp and 7" monitor) lol

One of the pulleys is an overdriven pulley for the alternator, the other is a same diameter for the water pump, and the other one is the unerdriven carnk pulley. So you will not lose anything if you use the overdriven of the alternator. Check this out, I have an Xbox in my car, and I only bought the Underdriven cause the people at NST e-mailed me telling me that I would not have any kind of problems only getting that one. The overdrive in the alternator is for big music systems, so there won't be any problem at all.

no, the alternator pulley is actually a little smaller, so it will turn the alternator faster to balance it out. So the crank pulley slows down the belt, the water pump pulley is just lighter (no effect on belt speed), and the alternator pulley is a little smaller, so even though the belt is turning slower, the alternator pulley being smaller creates a higher multiplier for the rotational velocity.

Basically the smaller pulley will turn the alternator a little faster to make up for the slower belt speed.

no worries man.

Somewhat wrong, if the alternator pulley was smaller then why is it 20% Overdriven Alternator Pulley? It is bigger but ligther than the original and is use to compensate for the %s lost on the underdriven pulley.

yes, but to be an overdriven pulley, it has to be smaller in diameter to make it overdrive the alternator. Smaller pulley makes the alternator turn faster. Just like the supercharger pulley. It has to be smaller to turn the blower faster.

yes pghtc is correct, when a gear or pulley is smaller, and whatever is driving that gear or pulley to turn stays at the same speed, the thing being driven by the gear or pulley will run much faster
