I'm still trying to see if the s-pipe will fit the 07 tC... Supposedly the exhaust manifold/header had changed on the 07 with a slight upcurve for some reason so I'm just wondering what fitment is like...? Anyone have experience with this before I order?

prob a tad bigger so the air isnt as restricted. As for the sound - it still goes into the same cat and out the muffler.
so i'm curious: i have the TRD exhaust with an injen CAI and i'm happy with the tone but could use more power upgrades so i'm considering getting some headers. based on your rationale, does that mean that i could upgrade the header and s-pipe and still retain the same exhaust tone i currently have?

Sure, nothing has changed exhaust wise except for the OEM header design. But that doesnt affect aftermarket exhaust parts for the tC.. Mod away! :D

So I am at a loss with this one...what is the point of an aftermarket spipe that looks basically the same as the oem one except a little bit more shiney? I don't know what mandrel bent means so maybe that is the difference!

Very simply, a mandrel bend is a bend in a pipe that maintains the interior diameter of the pipe from start to finish. If the interior of the pipe has a diameter of 2 inches, it will maintain that diameter through the bend. http://www.vansantent.com/definitions.htm That website has a pretty good description of what a mandrel bend is. A mandrel bend, because it has the same diameter throughout, flows more freely, and with less turbulance, than a stock crush bent pipe.

DO NOT buy the creative compacts s-pipe. This piece of shxt caused me so many fitment problems/exhaust leaks with my AW header. It doesnt fit (flanges are too big) the welds are horrible ( you can see where the a$$holes that welded it got the rod stuck in the bead and snapped it off) and i payed the extra money for stainless finish and it came looking like garbage. no shine at all.

basically the same size?? if you read my post earlier the difference is about 1/2" throughout with no restriction (2.4" inches throughout), and approximately 10whp on an automatic. perhaps a little more if i am being too kind to the trd axle back.

and yes,,its shiny too.

like 5. it's one of the most restrictive parts of the exhaust system.. but it would be best if mated with header and s-pipe back exhaust.. put it this way, a full exhaust system (header -> spipe -> midpipe -> axleback) will gain a total of about 10-20hp depending what you have.
