Default New Scangauge comming out?

I heard a few months ago that a new scangauge is comming out in the near future. Does anybody know if there is truth to that? Any details?

They're coming out with a USB enabled version of the ScanGauge II that will allow you to datalog by downloading stored data to your PC. If I'm understanding correctly, we'll be able to "trade-in" current SacnGauge 2s + cash (I've heard $100 mentioned?) to upgrade to the newest USB edition.

You would assume they would add more functionality becides the USB ...eventhough it sounds like a good idea.

Well, as both iterations of the ScanGauge perform the exact same gauge and trip functions, I'm not surprised to see no added functions.

And I'm already resigned to never getting the upgrade, as it will certainly not have any Mac support. These kinds of things never do.

I just made a panel to cover the cubby, as my old ScanGauge sat all the way at the back, so I've gotten used to not using the full depth of the cubby. The cutout is for my wallet.

Nice - I would mount it there but have my cubby gauge in there. Good job though.

you're also supposed to be able to make changes to the ECU making it act like a programmer. i'm not sure if this will be advantageous to the TC owners. i plan on using it on my Nissan Titan if the firmware ever gets completed. Ron @ Scangauge said the programming was the holdback.

wooahhh - now thats a different answer then "just" the usb addition. I also don't know what could be tuned from there ....and even if Ide want to tune anything from it ...but it sounds cool.

for the Titan, i'm gonna do the 2 degree timing advance. it's supposed to give the Titan a little kick in the pants. owners have said they've regained their low-end torque that they lost when adding high-flow intake systems.

Sure... I'm 100% positive there is not a ScanGauge-3 comming out. The SG2 is fully upgradeable and using the "cable" that has been talked about for some time you will upload/flash with new software vesions. There will be added features (some cool ones ) but this was all planned for when the ScangaugeII was created so be ready in about 6 months...by the way this was directly from Ron @ Linear-Logic just last week... so buy a SG2 so you'll be ready (as I plug my signature!)

actually, you want to wait on buying a SG2 unless you already have one. you'll have to either exchange it or send it back for reprogramming. they didn't make an allowance for you to update the firmware yourself.

Yes you will have to send the gauge in the first time. Linear-Logic will do a one-time upgrade to allow the owner to utilize the interface tool to perform all upgrades themselves if they wish. Your original ScanGaugeII will be the same one you get back ready to go charge for this procedure is minimal and includes round trip shipping.

Scan Gauge II looks nice. Has anyone used the Dash DAQ?

it doesn't look like the DashDAQ is for sale yet. It's not currently in production. It looks like a pretty cool device and the price sounds just about right. I'm just curious how much it is to add all the optional components.

I do not like the R2000 model as much as a scan guage. The r2000 is huge in comparison to a Scanguage. Also it would appear that a monitor is required
