OEM Exhaust Manifold Temperature, What should it be, and should I be worried.
Hello, I been having some O2 sensor issues at the top Oxygen Sensor. Well I replaced it, and AutoZone cleared the code for me. Anyway when got home I still had the stock manifold cover off so I got an IR Thermometer and found my exhaust manifold was at 525 Degrees F. Is that a problem or normal?
It is 85 Degrees out and I drove like a grandma the 10 minute trip home.
I have only bolt-on mods.
Thanks.
PS. I may make another thread but just incase someone knows. Is there a good spot to tap into the OEM exhaust manifold for a Wideband O2 sensor. A muffler shop told me the OEM headers are Stainless Steal and it could crack if he taps in a hole. Thanks for any input (The WideBand Gauge is just a result of frivolous spending, and I want it.) So therefore I must tap it in somewhere.
