well youll need to remove the MAF anyways, so might as well unplug it.

unplug battery, unplug MAF, remove MAF sensor from stock, put MAF sensor on new CAI.

1. I recently bought a KnN air filter... will this have to be pitched in order to install the CAI, basically making that a useless buy? or does that stay in with a new CAI?

Sell it

2. once the CAI is installed, or afterward, do i need to do anything with the ecu? if so, what do i need to do?

Just leave the negative terminal off the battery during the install.. drive it around a few days wait for it to adjust.

3. is it an easy enough install if i have a friend who is very car competent help me out?

Yes, just make sure you have the right tools. Only hard part is the Cold Air piping. I don't recommend taking the bumper off like people tell you just remove the driver side wheel well and it should be easy enough.

Make sure you wiggle it around and don't be scared to scratch it b/c more often then tnot it will scratch.

thanks guys
