believe me my tc is designed and well thought out before i bought it where it doesnt look tacky or ricey like you say but i mean my mom has the paddle shifters in her car and my dad's maserati has it also but the way people fabricate their cars, just the possibilities are endless. why are you guys taking this ____ so seriously when i just am asking a simple question.

Maserati's paddle shift system SUCKED as well until a few iterations of it. I dont think they got it ironed out (it was sluggish and laggy) until a couple of years ago as well. In other words, it takes a LOT of work to get them right.
And there is just something most enthusiasts dont like about making the car do all the work for you. Enough traction control, computerized shifts, etc and the car will just drive for you.. anyone can be a good driver! ....... yuck.
I was dissapointed when F1 allowed traction control, and happy when they took it back away. Supposed to be a drivers race too, not just a car race.
