Default Passenger Side CV Axle Support Failure

I was driving and the CV Axle support pulled away from the engine block broke the 3 bolts and stripped the holes. Am I the only one this every happened too?

What was going on at that moment the axle failed? Is the car lowered, by how much?

Wow thats crazy - that bracket is thick cast steel and held in place by 3 10mm bolts, something crazy mustve happened to do that... I wonder if maybe the bearing in it siezed up and the rotational torque broke it?

I think the torque from the power the motor is making simply sheared the bolts. The carrier bearing is fine on the passenger side cv, I think its just from when the torque transmits down the axle shaft it pulls the bracket away from the blocks somehow. I am running about 12 psi and I have an LSD in the transmission. I have the car in a shop now. They are re-tapping the holes where the bolts go and putting on a new bracket. After that they will do some welding to strengthen the support. It either that or get a new block. This fix is costing me $1300.

My car makes over 600whp/wtq, so I doubt its a power issue. My cars went through several launches on slicks along with wheel hop thats killed a couple trans, never had an issue with that mount though. $1300 for that fix is a bit high. All you really need to do is remove the axle/bracket, helicoil the threads, and reinstall the bracket with new bolts. Prob have to use a 90* on the drill do to limited space, so def a pain in the ___, but aluminum machines really easy so it shouldnt be that bad.
