Next would to change your whole exhaust setup which includes header and back. doesnt matter what u get first. but ull probably wnat more which means high compression pistons.

o man EXACTLY. and aroddalobster how u been?! lol met u on some other thread, but yeah the whole bolton this n that isnt worth it, if i want speed ill just save up for another car, or better yet my kawasaki Ninja. I installed a trd sway, now that was good bang for the buck lol. u can definitaly feel it. Plus thers always less headaches , since boltons always had fitments problems and yeah cali's restrictions.
haha wsup mengsta. yea i got my progress sways in a while back, and wow, night nd day. boltons have fitment problems, cali's rulers hate them, like you said, and they make your wallet go prettty thin prettty quickly. dude you got a ninja? sweeet. i have a m1 license but don't have enough to buy a bike yet... thinkin of getting a gsx-r or a cbr or a r6 once i graduate from college though. can't waiitt.
No i meant im saving up for a ninja, lol the base model is only 3.3 , but iono if i want it anymore. And anyway im still trying to get my M1, the evaluation day for the course is this saturday. I think ima fail, becuz i cant do small figure 8's at like 2 mph... It always feels like im going to fall. I need some pointers bro lol. ill AIM u sometime.
aww the evil 8. haha, i put my foot down during the evaluation.. whoops. but i still passed. got 7 wrong i think? or 8... out of 21. the other thing that they marked me down for was friggin not accelerating quick enough. man.. that made me depressed... that class was fun, except for the fact that i took it in the middle of the socal summer... woo not cool... but yeah man, hit me up on aim.
yeah i will just found u on aim. over here u get only a maximum of 20 points. So how does it work? one error will just be 1 point? Becuz i kno for sure ill put my foot down on the 8 and the S. as long as i do good on the others.
I recently install my f fujita cai once i was done installing it the cel came on i thought that the maf sensor might now be having a good connection so i unpluged it and pluged it back in and that cel went off. So did the ecu ignored it or is it still there with the cel being off
yea I didn't let it idle for the 10 mins i just disconnected the maf sensor and connnected it back up turn on and off car and on agains seems to be working just fine now. Thanks for the idea tho.

I gotta throw in my $.02 and say the same.
Turbonetics turbo + instal + dyno tune + all extra bs {not including clutch/flywheel/lsd} $7,500.00 from {shop name with held} {aimed for power goal 285whp}
Current setup
Fujita Cold Air {$350}
Megan Header {$200}
Megan S-Pipe {$150}
Megan Mid-pipe {$235}
Greddy Ti-C Exhaust {$450}
Brothers Racing Light Crank Pully {$50} --- {approx 1.3lbs}
Dyno last week in 102 degree texas heat 152.6whp / 151.6wtq
{betting closer to 160 in weather not meant for the ninth ring of hell}
all thats missing from that setup is a new intake manifold and thats all the bolt ons that are really out there for our cars.
Now I love my car, and I WILL be going boost eventually {once she is paid off} and at that time I wont mind sinking 7k into her.

I looked into that and a shop not far from me put those into a 06tc with I/H/E/P and all he gained was somthing like 10whp from mid to top. Its nothing to sneeze at, but for the money, just start saving for boost, or work on building up the rest of the car.

Nice post. Bottom line: Do your research before you spend money. There are so many things that I would do differently on my car if I would have just done my homework. I was never really into cars and tuning them until I bought my tc and visited this site.
SL shows you all of the possibilities that exist for what you can do with a scion, but there's an ugly downside to it all, and that is the cars are what they are. Four cylinder toyotas. All of the money and work in the world doesn't change that. Having never tuned cars before I learned that the hard way. My biggest disappointment was shelling out $5,000 for a TRD S/C, and realizing that the gains were minimal because my car is an automatic. There is so much that I could have done with that money. If I could go back I would run the catback exhaust (very little rasp), my intake, a cheap piggyback (cam-con/unichip), and spend the rest on interior and exterior mods like paint, gfx kit, seats, the led swap for the guages and hvac, and better rims. It's hurts me to say this, but if you don't spend your money wisely you could put $6-7,000 into performance mods on this car and still get spanked by a civic si. That is the exact case with me and my tc. It's a sad sad story. Now all I want in the world is some springs and a lip kit, and my cards are tapped. THINK BEFORE YOU SPEND.
