Default Project: Under 4000 RPMs

Today is the start of a new journey for me. I will be trying to get the Apexi S-AFC II to work under 4000 RPMs. After hearing that Sound Performance has found a way, but will not share with us I am disgusted. So, that brings me to a new project, getting it to work on my own. I will be working with SDR and others along with a AEM Wideband and a dyno to find a way to get it to work and I will be letting everyone know how to do it when I find out.

Today is Day 1: I have done a very light tune at 1000 RPMs all the way to 7000 RPMs. Now, it’s the waiting game……….I need to get a CEL light and then check the code and I can go from there. I will be keeping you guy posted with all the results.

Actually, I pm'd parts pimp and he told me he thinks he knows how to make it work, he has not done it yet.
Considering SP is the best Supra shop around, I'm sure they can do it.

I've been messaging PARTS PIMP as well, and encouraging him to help us out.... it's tough, not being able to hit up his shop for the "TricK'.... and having to wait to do something that is already possible to do....

It'll come out eventually.... it's just frustrating to have to wait.

If I was next to him, I'd gladly pay for the install, but that's not a possibility for me....

It'd be a pretty big dissapointment if the trick doesn't work....

I need to hold off for a week. My car is going for the dealer to get work done and I don't want to bring it with a CEL on.

Good luck, If you had parts pimp install it you would see how he got it to worl from the way they wired and setup the unit right?

That would work.... we honestly are all waiting on that solution from parts pimp when he decides to release it... or starts putting in on many cars, as it would inevitably get out, I'm sure.

Well guys I do know that my fix works because my friend on the west coast used it already before he went to the AEM. I will not hold it in for ever but at this time know one else has done the R&D to figure this out and we have and buy the way if I did the install you would never figure out what we did. So good things come to those who wait....

What if you wired the ecu to a acc switch so when you turn the key off it would not get power ?.
Is there a part of the ecu that holds memory other than the stock settings (learned data) ?
I'm just throwing ideas out.
