depends if its teh pulley causing the problem. if the problem is not related to the pulley(s) at all then dont worry about it.

You are gonna have to swap the pulleys everytime you service the car.

they cant void the warenty if they see the pulleys, they have to prove that the pulleys are directly related to the problem.

I think that the pulley might be also inclueded in the law, but I haven't check. http://www.semasan.com/main/main.aspx?id=61713

Maybe there is something on that in here. I was just pointing out that its better to take out the pulleys everytime, just to have less **** problems from your dealer.

actually they can void the warranty just from having the pulley installed since they are listed on the TRD supercharger warranty sheet as immediate voids of the warranty. No proof necessary.

Guys, I got the underdriven only to see if there are really any problems with the alternator while using these, which I higly doubt. Got it from NST and the quality from the pulley is AWSOME! Now for some testing. I have an xbox on my car and I will see if there is no problems with it, without having the overdrive alternator one.

changing the pulley on the supercharger, intake, BOV, header, or anything that has to do with the supercharger will void the warranty on the supercharger. I was told that by Maita Scion. I believe it was also stated in the papers that came with the supercharger. It doesn't matter if the modification has anything to do with the problem that you are having or not. TRD will NOT warranty the supercharger anymore after noticing any modification.

ok so im powering a 2 channel amp and a small sized computer... if I dont get the alternator overdrive pulley, will I notice a problem?

also, with the alternator running slower, wont that cause other car electronics to fail or have the battery die sooner?

We are not talking about the supercharger here people. It is only about crank pulleys.

And mike6789k...

Here is what NST told me about the overdriven alternator Pulley.

Hi Eddie,

Thank you for your interest in our site and products, we appreciate it.

You will be ok with our Underdrive Crank Pulley (NST02020) and your Xbox! We
have had many customers with mild stereo systems, upgraded lighting, and other
mild modifications use this pulley with great results.

Our accessory pulleys are used more so for further weight reduction and a bit
more performance. The only time our Overdrive Alternator Pulley becomes a
necessity is if you have something like a 3000+ watt stereo system and extra
lighting in your car!

Thanks again for your interest in our site and products, we certainly do
appreciate it. Good luck and have fun with your project!

Well, I see it like this, the less weight you get out of there, the more freely it all can move. Remember, I'm not responsible for anything done here. It sounds weird when someone actually calls me by my name here in the forum.
