Question Raceland Exhaust

Hey guys I bought myself a raceland exhaust for christmas and I am just curious if it is full bolt on? As in I can disconnect the stock exhaust and swap out everything for new? I was going to have an exhaust shop install it for my but if It there is no welding or anything needed I might just try it myself. Also I've seen lots of mixed answered as to if the silencer can be removed? Some yes say, some say it can only be opened.. but I am hoping it can be removed because it seems a little goofy looking. Thanks!

Completely bolt on, but you can't just bolt on the axle back section. You have to install the catless mid pipe to fit the axle back section.

Only word of advice, be carefully removing the s-pipe bolts. The driver side will come out no problems, but the passenger side bolt is a pain because of the angle of the bend.

Further more, removal of the silencer is also a pain. I actually had to cut a pie section out of the silencer, to get it to brake loose. It looks terrible inside the muffler, so removal is a must! Power gains can really be felt in about 3rd gear past 3300rpm. You'll hear the VVTi doing it's thing, and then a real nice tourqey pull. I was very impressed with the sound, fitment, and gains from a Raceland catback. I mean, I have their coilovers, and not too impressed, but it gets you low on the cheap. However, the catback is bar none, best bang for buck.

Oh its raspy as hell with the header. I had to install an Aero Resonator as well as insulation behind the silencer just to make the noise levels acceptable. If its too loud it is easy to fix, but from the factory it was loud.

^^ Agreed! anytime you add a header, I don't care what brand it gets raspy. Header = more flow and with this large 2.4 we have it needs some suppression.

Wasn't sure what the rasp level was with a 4-2-1 and complete raceland piping to the bumper. I figured some, but if it's not honda loud, It's good enough for me. And adding a longer or 2nd resonator wouldn't be an issue.
