Default rattling/bumping noise.....help appreciated!!!!

since i installed my CAI i have been hearing a weird rattling coming from the front of my car on start up as well as other times when i am sitting idle. could it be possible that the cone/filter is hitting the fender or bumper?

also since i got my exhaust installed my car smells like something is hot every once in a while, even after barely driving it. is it possible that the mid pipe is getting hot and melting something underneath the car?

any help would be appreciated.Thanks

ps i hope i posted this in the correct area this time.

it's probably the cold air pipe vibrating against the car. it should've came with a piece of rubber that you cover the surrounding metal parts of the car where the cold air pipe extends to. i had the same problem way back then.

where the air filter is, there should be a bolt that conects it from rattling....if not, just zip tie it off.....if its from the engine bay, and not the lower end check your mounting brackets, etc.....its been a while since i've down a cai, but i could be wrong, lol

anything is POSSIBLE. Why not start the car, pop the hood and see if you can locate where the noise is coming from. Same with the exhaust, (not sure if you have a floor jack, but if you do) raise your ride up and crawl under and visually inspect all your piping. See if its too close to anything or touching something it shouldnt...

good place to start would be to maybe wrap a couple layers of wire tape around the part of the intake that travels into the wheel well. it's the part that was tough to maneuver the pipe into when u were installing it.
