NOTE: I have seen two versions of that heatshield... one where the bolts connect to the actual engine chassis, and the other where the bolts bolt directly into the header. I got the second version, so getting it up and off of that last top bolt sticking out of the headers was impossible without somehow getting around that O2 sensor.
Moral of the story, make sure you have all the tools necessary before going into something like this.

I actually had the same problem too, but the solution is to unscrew the bolts from the header. The bolts are in themselves screws that screw into the header, so you can unscrew them and VOILA!
It's ok though, everyone makes mistakes, it took me a lil bit to figure out to take the bolt out of the header
