those are some strong words for someone asking for help... lol and first off you should be calling around at body shops and shops that do motor swaps instead of the boards....

the sr20det fits in the SE-R because they make FWD SR20DETs and the SE-R comes with a SR20....

Especially since you aren't doing it your self....jeez...why would you ask *us*, people that have never done it (or there would by pix on this website already), and aren't planning on doing it, if we know how much it would cost? If you know the amount of work involved, why not talk to shops near you, discuss it with them, and then post that info here?

Ship us the car and your AMEX..........we are not afraid.

First thing you would have to do is mount the motor, then building the rear half is easy. I would assume that a rear end that we could fit in there would not be strong enough so we would have to re fab the entire rear halve. The hard part is the suspension balancing and steering. The car would have a completly diffrent geometry and this would have to be taken into consideration. Stand Alone would be needed, AEM would be a good choice.

I really don't have a price for you, if you were going to do this, I would build the motor and make a drag car out of it. We are in the process of a LS1 Turbo 240sx so hey anything is possible.

We would require at least 5k down to get started and no time limit. But it would be one bad _____ when it was done.

Really?? that is awesome , do you have some pics of the progress?
I have heard of Lt1 240sx's , but LS1 - sweet!

Do you have pics of your shop, sounds pretty rowdy if you are building the back end of cars from the ground up!

Not to dis you setup but I would think the ride would be poor and don't try any twisties either. I'd still do the IS300 same color and glue on some scion badges would make a better "car"...

tC would haul ___ if it was RWD than FWD... its better to push then pull haha. 6 gears too..

AWD would probably perform the same as FWD, maybe abit slower because of the extra weight...

AWD would not perform the same as FWD
handling would be much better. setup a 30/70 front/rear bias and it'll handle like a RWD car with the traction of AWD.

Boost it and it'll be heaven on wheels

Why instead of critisising someone, just answer their question without insulting them. And if you don't know the answer just don't leave a post. This is the very reason why some people would become discoraged to ask for advise on these forums. I mean havn't you people ever thought maybe it's a little easier to post a question out to a lot of people at once instead of just going around garage to garage.
I thought this was a site where people who like scions could share ideas and get advise from other enthusiusts like them. Not a place where people insult your intelligence for asking a question.

I would love for someone to do a RWD or AWD conversion. I have been speaking with one of my techs about the possibilties of swapping out components from a Rav4. So far we have gotten up to aroun 18k. A bit rich for my blood, but I'm sure it will happen in the not to distant future.

as a member of quite a few "tuner" sites I can tell you this RWD conversion thread exists multiple times on every FWD forum. it gets old and if they were really interested in doing something like this, they would know to contact a shop that CAN do something like this. Even if its just to get advise most shops would gladly give pointers.

and as I always say.... if you ask a stupid question.. expect a stupid answer.
