Default removing air AC unit

what do you guys think about taking out the a AC unit to lose weight and maybe free up some power?

I think it's freaking brilliant!!!

While you're at it, loose the PWR steering, alternator, and water pump. Just confine your trips to 1/4 mile, or so. You'll get there 0.05 seconds faster.

personally, it is not worth it to me. you can remove the whole system, condenser, ac compressor, evaporator, ac lines. it should free it some hp and remove some weight, but i still wouldn't do it. i can't live without ac. you can also take off the powersteering, free up some hp there and it gives you free exercise as well

umm...no.

its got an a/c cutoff switch built in so you are not really gaining anything at all. instead of taking useful things off the car just go on a diet and lose 10 pounds

shoot my previous car had no AC and i delt with it for 5 years. im glad to have AC back on my car like everyone said, unless you race 24/7 its not worth it. be thankful to have the nice cold air blowing in your face

same here the day my parents gave me there old stratus is the day the ac pully seized up and i didnt have the $$ to fix it so i just by passed that belt and delt with it form the summer of 01 till the summer of 04 when i got my tc i wont take the ac ever lol

yea picture this , sweating in the hot summer as your passing a riced out civic with a cheeseburger haging out of your mouth and a biggie sized drink in the cupholder.
